The Night Routine That Will Have You Sleeping Like A Baby

I'm pretty sure we've all had those sleepless nights where we toss and turn just hoping for a few good hours of rest before our alarm completely kills our vibe. That used to be me every single night! I would consistently wake up 3-4 times per night and have the hardest time getting back to sleep.


Surprisingly enough, about 6 months ago, I started sleeping seamlessly through the night! I was so amazed that my body even let that happen once, let alone on a nightly basis. I started seriously wondering what caused this drastic shift in my sleep pattern and started taking notes.


I realized that blogging has really changed my days around. I'm working longer hours into the night, going to more events during the week and drinking a ton more water...(Confusing, huh?)


Something doesn't quite add up there and I'm still bewildered at my body's reaction to my newfound daily life, but I wanted to tell you guys what I do when I'm ready for bed that put a strange halt to my multiple potty breaks and consistent back aches.


After the First Yawn

  • Moisturize and twist hair (I use Curl Definition, religiously.)

  • Cleanse and moisturize face (Curology has saved my skin.)


Once I Click "Post"

  • Exfoliate and shower (I looove this little guy from Dollar Shave Club.)

  • Lotion up!

  • Let the pup out. 🐶


While I'm In Bed

  • Final social media check

  • Return the last necessary email

  • Read a quick article, blog post or daily subscription (I subscribe to The Skimm, PureWow and Newsette.)



  • Turn off electronics, including Wifi and data

  • Moisturize feet and hand (My feet are getting so smooth!)

  • Place a small pillow on each side to support my back.


Sleep like a mf'n baby!
