Happy Thanksgiving! The holidays have officially arrived and with tomorrow being Black Friday, I thought today was the perfect day to show y'all my Christmas list! Instead of having you scroll through multiple gift guides, I decided to put everything all in one. You'll find gifts for your man, your mom, your best friends, your cousin, and even yourself! (Please don't forget to gift yourself this year!) I tried to keep all items under $200 so you have a range of gift options to choose from. No matter who you're shopping for this year, there's something for them on this list!

As we get older we tend to play down birthdays, but when it comes down to it we all still enjoy a good party and celebration as much as we did when we were young. A surprise party is a wonderful way to show someone just how much they mean to everyone, and seeing all of their loved ones gathered unexpectedly can be a birthday treat within itself. Maybe your guy really deserves to know that he’s loved this year, maybe he’s had a rough time lately or is feeling a little disconnected from the ones that matter. Perhaps you just want to see the look in his face when everyone jumps out and shouts ‘surprise!’ Either way, there are a few things to bear in mind to ensure you can pull it off.

You can do much more at a party than just sit around eating and drinking, and your guests will have much more fun. Find some unusual things for them to do, and they will remember your party for a very long time.

When you throw a party nowadays, your guests will experience most of it through their phones. That’s the age we’re living in, and the chances are that you’ve done the same yourself at one point. Besides, it can seem worthwhile when there are killer pics of your party bouncing around Instagram. Isn’t social media fame the whole point of hosting a party nowadays?

We are fast approaching the most wonderful time of year. You can feel it in the air and it surrounds you everywhere you go - stores have put up stunning window displays, local Christmas markets are in full swing, and chances are that you and a fair few of your neighbours may have decorated your homes with pretty lights. Now, Christmas can mean many different things for many different people. But something that we all tend to do during this season is overspend. This isn’t all too surprising. We want to buy the best gifts for our nearest and dearest to show our love for them. We want to pick up the nicest tree and the prettiest decorations to make our homes as comfortable and festive as possible. We want to wrap up warm with some fun Christmas jumpers and we want to stock our cupboards up with a whole host of holiday treats. This all mounts up pretty quickly when it comes to your finances. However, the biggest costs around this time can prove to be attending social events. Your family, f...

With two days left before Thanksgiving, I’m pretty sure we’re all thinking about the same thing: BLACK FRIDAY DEALS! What do you get? Who has the best prices? Do you shop online or get up at the butt-crack of dawn and head to the store? There’s so many questions and we feel like there just isn’t enough time.

As if winter isn’t bad enough sometimes for people to get through, Christmas can be an especially difficult and stressful time for many. From societal pressures to spend money that you may not really have to spare, to having winter depression, or to simply finding it an emotionally painful time for various things that could have occurred around this time of year. When you do struggle with getting into the festive spirit, it’s important to understand that you’re not alone with this - although it can definitely feel that way when everyone around you is waxing lyrical about Christmas shopping, parties, and the other things they like to enjoy over Christmas.

It feels as though we are making our way through November relatively quickly and Christmas is waiting right around the corner. This sets our mind off in all sorts of directions. We have to get advent calendars together ready for the first, seek out where we can purchase the perfect Christmas tree, draw a Christmas card list together, start planning presents, and complete a whole host more tasks to ensure that we are organised and prepared, and to guarantee that we can get all of our tasks complete in time to actually enjoy the festive period. This is a wonderful time of year where we are drawn together in good spirit with family, friends, and other individuals who we want to celebrate with. It’s not all too surprising that we may overindulge a little in various areas with so many parties, gatherings, and meals serving as the perfect means to meet up with our nearest and dearest. But it’s important for your own health and wellbeing that you don’t overindulge this festive season.
